Mary-Claire Buell Featured on CBC Radio for Large Lake Champion Award
We’re proud to share that Dr. Mary-Claire Buell, assistant professor at Trent University and head of our lab, was recently interviewed on CBC’s Ontario Morning. She spoke about receiving the Large Lake Champion Award in recognition of her work bridging Western science and Indigenous knowledge to protect the Great Lakes.
New MOU Between Great Lakes Fishery Commission and Trent University to Support Collaboration Among Indigenous and Western Knowledge Systems
At the 2024 Youth and Elders Gathering, Trent University and Michipicoten First Nation signed a three-year MOU to collaborate on research into the environmental impacts of resource extraction and establish key baseline data in MFN Territory.
